This course includes training on modular, mobile, and pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered hoists (up to 500kg), ropes, gin wheels, safety nets, static lines, and bracket scaffolds for licensing. You’ll learn to plan jobs, select and inspect gear, set up, erect, and dismantle scaffolds and equipment.
Course Description
This course is tailored for newcomers and is equally beneficial for individuals at all levels seeking to refresh their skills and knowledge. Enrolment is contingent upon meeting the following prerequisites:
- Participants must be 18 or older, with adequate English, literacy, numeracy, and visual skills for this course.
- You must have adequate English language, literacy, numeracy, and visual interpretation skills to safely perform high-risk work for successful course completion.
- You MUST wear safety boots during training and assessment.
On registration, you’ll receive an email with instructions to access your online materials. Before attending the course, you must pass a short online quiz. It’s crucial to review the learning materials thoroughly before taking the quiz.
Additionally, you’ll need to complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Assessment upon arriving at the training centre. This helps your trainer customise your training approach, if necessary, to better suit your learning needs.
Completing this course and applying to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, WorkSafe WA, or SafeWork NSW grants you a Nationally Recognised High Risk Work License (SB).
Certification
On completion you’ll receive:
- Statement of Attainment for the unit CPCCLSF2001 – Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level.
- National High Risk Work Licence (SB)
