Course Description
This course delves into the necessary competencies for effectively confining emergencies. You’ll learn through a mix of theory and practical exercises on preparing for emergency situations, identifying and evaluating emergencies, effectively confining them, using initial response equipment, and accurately reporting the facility’s emergency response actions.
Designed for those present in facilities on a regular or temporary basis, the curriculum encompasses a wide range of crucial topics, including emergency situation preparation, emergency identification and assessment, confinement of emergencies, operation of initial response equipment, and emergency response reporting.
Practical scenarios include managing small fires with fire extinguishers, containing chemical spills with proper PPE and spill kits, and responding to minor vehicle accidents.
You should:
- Wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and closed shoes (preferably with hard caps) for practical sessions.
