One-third of workplace injuries stem from improper manual handling techniques. This module teaches the necessary skills and knowledge for safely moving materials by hand. It covers risk assessment for load movement, planning the move, and executing it according to the plan, all while adhering to the applicable work health and safety (WHS) or occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines related to manual load handling.

To enrol in this course, there are a couple of essential criteria you must meet to ensure you can fully engage with and benefit from the training provided:
- You must be at least 14 years of age. This age requirement is set to ensure that participants are mature enough to grasp the concepts and responsibilities that come with the coursework.
- You must have a solid command of the English language, both in its written and spoken forms. This proficiency in English is necessary for understanding the course materials, participating in discussions, and successfully completing any assessments or examinations.
